Questions, answered
What does the website downloader give me?
A ZIP file with every page saved as HTML, plus the CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts it uses. Links between pages are rewritten, so the download opens and works offline in any browser.
Can I give the files to Claude Code, Cursor or another AI coding tool?
Yes. Unzip the download of your site into your project folder and ask your AI coding tool to read it. With the real HTML structure, styles and assets to work from, it can move the layout to a new stack, redesign it or turn it into components far more accurately than from a screenshot.
Can it download a site I have to log in to?
Yes, on a paid plan, for accounts that are yours or that you are authorised to access. Sign in to the site in your own browser, export its cookies with the free Cookie-Editor extension, confirm the account is yours, and paste them in. The cookies are used for that download only and are deleted automatically when it finishes.
Does it work with sites built with JavaScript?
Yes. Content built by React, Vue or other JavaScript frameworks, and content that loads as you scroll, is captured too — each page is saved the way you see it.
Can I download the back-end code of a website?
No tool can: server-side code never leaves the server. You get everything the browser receives, which is the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts.

Do I need to install anything?
