Why "Save Page As" is not enough
Every browser can save one page. Try it on a modern site and you often get a page with missing images, broken styles or empty sections, and none of the links work because the other pages were never saved.
Download Any Site saves the whole site in one go. Each page is saved once it has fully loaded, so content that loads late is captured. Images, stylesheets, scripts and fonts are downloaded with it, and every link between pages is rewritten to point at the saved copy. Unzip the result, open index.html, and click around the site as if you were online.
What you can save for offline reading
- Documentation and reference sites, for flights, trains and places with bad Wi-Fi.
- Long articles, guides and tutorials you want to keep even if they are taken down.
- Your own website, as a backup before a redesign, a migration or the end of a hosting plan.
- Course pages and members' areas you have access to. See downloading a website behind a login.
How to save a website offline
- Paste the link above.
- Choose how much to save: a single page, or the whole site (up to 300 pages per download).
- Download the ZIP from your history and unzip it anywhere: your laptop, an external drive or a shared folder.
There is nothing to install, so it works the same from Windows, macOS, Linux or a Chromebook. The ZIP stays in your history, so you can download it again later.
Offline copies vs. archives
An offline copy is a snapshot: it shows the site as it was on the day you downloaded it, and things that need a server, such as search boxes, forms, logins and live data, will not work offline. For reading, reference and backups that is exactly what you want. To keep a copy up to date, download it again whenever the site changes.

Frequently asked questions
Will the offline copy work without internet?
Yes. Pages, images, stylesheets, scripts and fonts are saved locally, and links are rewritten to point at the saved files, so you can browse the copy with no connection.
Do search, forms and logins work offline?
No. Anything that needs the website’s server, such as search, forms, checkouts and live data, cannot work in an offline copy. The pages, text, images and navigation do.
How many pages can I save?
Every plan saves whole websites of up to 300 pages per download, or a single page when that is all you need.
Can I open the copy on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Unzip it with your device’s file app and open index.html in the browser. It is plain HTML, so it works on any device.
